Transfer Success Workshop: How to Prepare

This virtual workshop is designed for students early in their transfer journey who want to understand how to prepare to be a strong future applicant. We’ll cover how to:

Use the Transfer Handbook to understand GPA and course requirements by major

See how we calculate your transferable GPA (and why it may differ from your current school’s)

Identify required and recommended courses to complete before applying

Understand open access majors, programs with required coursework for admission, and language other than English (LOTE) expectations

Use tools like Transferology to check how your courses may transfer

You’ll leave with a clear plan for using your time at your current institution to best prepare for transferring to Illinois.
