Grainger Engineering Pathways Checklist

1. Apply to the Illinois community college you plan to attend.

Preference given to students who are planning to attend their local, in-district community college. You will need your community college ID and your assigned community college email to complete the application.

2. Complete ALEKS PPL assessment testing through the partner college.

The proctored ALEKS PPL math assessment is mandatory and may not be waived (minimum score of 76). ALEKS score must be dated within six months of application submission or it will need to be retaken.
- If your selected community college does not offer the ALEKS PPL assessment or you have an ALEKS PPL score of 75 or below and have questions about how to move forward with additional assessment or the application, please contact engineeringpathways@illinois.edu.

3. Prepare high school and college transcripts.

Students will need to submit high school transcripts, including completed senior fall courses and in-progress senior spring courses. We require transcripts are uploaded for any college credit attempted, completed or in progress.
