Student Introduction to Engineering (SITE) VIRTUAL Program

SITE is not just another orientation program.  SITE provides a unique opportunity for you to become more familiar with the different fields and opportunities available to you in the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois.  SITE hopes to give you the most accurate representation of what it means to be a part of Grainger Engineering at Illinois. In a normal year, SITE would bring around 100 admitted students to campus to participate in department tours of your admitted major, design competitions and panels with students, faculty and staff in the Grainger College of Engineering.

Due to the ongoing state of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to bring students to campus this year. However, we hope to offer a similar experience to you virtually. Through our virtual program, you will still have several opportunities to learn more about what it is like to be a student at Illinois. We hope to offer you the opportunity to interact with current Illinois Grainger College of Engineering students, participate in department presentations and most of all interact with some of your fellow members of the class of 2025! We hope through the SITE experience you will gain a better understanding of what life at Illinois is like as an Engineering student.
