The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites admitted students to The Grainger College of Engineering to attend our High School Visitation (HSV) program. This event offers students a firsthand look at engineering and student life at Illinois. Participants will explore different engineering disciplines, take part in hands-on demonstrations, tour campus facilities, and connect with current members of the SHPE | UIUC chapter. Each semester, our dedicated team of volunteers carefully plans these visits, creating opportunities to inspire and support the next generation of diverse engineers. This spring, we’re excited to welcome students for a weekend on campus to experience the academic and social environment at UIUC, the sense of community within SHPE, and life as a college student and future engineer. This semester’s event will take place on April 17th to April 19th. Students will have lodging near campus, and SHPE | UIUC will cover all travel, lodging, meals, and activities expenses. Join us to see how SHPE at Illinois can be the start of a transformative experience in engineering! Please refer to the agenda for programming updates. For questions, contact Yasmine Rios (High School Outreach Director) at shpe.uiuc.outreach@gmail.com.
