Curious what it’s really like to be an Army ROTC cadet at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign?

Join us for Day in the Life of an Army ROTC Cadet (DILARC) on Friday, December 4. You’ll spend the day with a current cadet, meet the Fighting Illini Battalion, and experience campus life firsthand.

The day begins at the Armory with check-in at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Cadet-Command Fitness Assessment (CCFA) at 8:15 a.m. After time to shower, change, and have breakfast, you’ll tour the Armory, meet cadre and cadets, and ask questions at the Army ROTC Open House. Following lunch, you’ll join your cadet guide for afternoon classes and a campus tour. The event concludes at 4:00 p.m.

The CCFA is an opportunity for eligible participants to earn an Illinois State Tuition Waiver, which may cover up to one academic year of tuition.

Bring a hygiene kit, towel, shower shoes, gym shoes, comfortable clothes, and PT gear. Before the event, coordinate a meeting time and location with your cadet escort. On arrival, report to the Armory parking lot to pick up your parking pass.

Whether you’re ready to join or still exploring your options, come see what life is like in the Fighting Illini Battalion.
