Pre-Checklist

Review the Parkland Pathway application process.

The Parkland Pathway application will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. This does not include time spent completing the Writing section or checking your application for accuracy. The application must be completed in English. Please have the following items on hand to complete the application:

1. Parkland College ID Number

You must apply to Parkland College prior to submitting this Parkland Pathway to Illinois application. You will need to enter your 7-digit Parkland College ID Number. For additional information, review the Parkland Pathway application process.

2. High School Transcript

You will need to upload a copy of your official high school transcript from each high school attended. High school transcripts must include all courses and grades through Fall/Winter 2025. If you have courses in progress for Spring 2026 that are not listed on your transcript you may upload a class schedule for the Spring 2026 term. Do not upload class schedules in place of transcripts for courses completed Fall/Winter 2025 or earlier.

3. College Transcripts (if applicable)

If you are completing any college-level coursework prior to enrollment in Parkland Pathway, including dual-credit courses taken during high school, you will need to upload a copy of your official college transcript for each college attended. College transcripts must include all courses and grades through Fall/Winter 2025. If you have courses in progress for Spring 2026 that are not listed on your transcript you may upload a class schedule for the Spring 2026 term. Do not upload class schedules in place of transcripts for courses completed Fall/Winter 2025 or earlier.

4. ALEKS PPL Assessment Score (if applicable)

The ALEKS PPL assessment is only required for the application if selecting either the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) or The Grainger College of Engineering.

If you are selecting the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) you must complete the proctored mathematics assessment (ALEKS) at Parkland College, receive a minimum score of 30, and upload a PDF of the results within this application by the April 5 deadline.

If you are selecting The Grainger College of Engineering you must complete the proctored mathematics assessment (ALEKS) at Parkland College, receive a minimum score of 76, and upload a PDF of the results within this application by the April 5 deadline.

The PDF of your ALEKS PPL assessment score report must include your full name, the assessment date, the Parkland College name, and your overall ALEKS PPL score, as well as show that your assessment attempt was proctored.

Note: If you have previously or are currently enrolled full-time at another college or university post high-school graduation, you should pursue traditional transfer to Illinois.
